In the heart of Gorski Kotar, in the middle of the Risnjak National Park, a small lake was created. 200 meters long and about 30 meters wide, unusual turquoise green-blue color. The unsolved mystery of nature is one of the most extensive and deepest Croatian sources.

From this unique lake, the river Kupa, a green mountain beauty, sets off on its way. This mountain oasis can be reached by a path from the village of Razloge or from the village of Hrvatsko in the Kupa Valley. The source part of the Kupa, 7 km long, flows through the Risnjak National Park. This area is called the “wonderful valley of butterflies” because of the large number of different types of butterflies that give this area additional beauty … We will continue our adventure with river Kupa soon
